Hot-dip galvanised strips are long, narrow steel sheets, cold- or
hot-rolled, with varying degrees of coating (zinc, aluminium) as
the raw material. Hot-dip galvanising offers the advantages of a
uniform coating, strong adhesion and long service life.
The hot-dip galvanised steel strip substrate and the molten coating
solution undergo a complex physical and chemical reaction to form a
corrosion-resistant structure consisting of a narrow layer of zinc
and iron alloy. The alloy layer is bonded to the pure zinc layer
and the steel strip substrate. As a result, corrosion resistance is
very high.
